The Kristančič family
Our family has been an integral part of this beautiful territory for over three centuries and a barrel built in 1808 certifies that our cellar, preserved from generation to generation, has over two centuries of history. With commitment and passion we try to interpret the terroir of the Slovenian Collio (Brda) without altering its typicality, creating unique wines that are the result of a careful practice that involves us from the vineyard to the cellar.
The Land
Our deep bond with the Slovenian Collio (Brda) has always been the reason that drives us to try to seize all the opportunities that this territory offers us, our knowledge of this land is perfectly exemplified in each of our wines. The alternation of layers of sandstone, clay or marl, technically defined as flysch, make the Slovenian Collio a perfect terroir to plant many vines that among our hills have found a perfect habitat that gives each wine a unique imprint.
Our Wines
Our wines are produced exclusively with grapes from our vineyards on the hills of Goriška Brda, a territory that offers suggestive scenery nestled between the sea and the Alps that with its conformation and its climate manages to give a unique imprint to each of our wines. Low yields and careful attention to all operations in the vineyard allow us to offer wines that faithfully represent the terroir of the Slovenian Collio (Brda)
